With a nice blend of The Breeders, Pixies, and Sonic Youth, San Francisco’s Pidgeon have created a great noise-pop album called From Gutter With Love.
Pidgeon is sure to get you moving, starting with the powerful "The Second One", whose chorus goes from bloodcurdling scream to pop melody in a way that makes you smile... and then punch nuns. It doesn’t let up from beginning to end.
And though there are a couple songs in the middle that seem a little too much of the same, From Gutter With Love is still a damn good disc worthy of your time.
